When creating my baby registry, I added a big jogging stroller (I don’t jog…I just heard it’s a smoother ride) and thought that would be all I needed in terms of strollers. I really didn’t think about hauling that giant stroller around whenever we wanted to take it somewhere.
I love my big stroller, BUT it’s wayyyyy too heavy to be taking in and out of the trunk all the time!
I quickly realized that I needed an umbrella stroller. Something lightweight and portable to take with us when running errands or traveling to Grandma and Grandpa’s house.
I ordered the cheapest umbrella stroller I could find. Who cares if it didn’t have all the bells and whistles? I just needed something simple!
Oh boy, was I wrong.
As you can see from the picture below, it was way too small! It’s like you’re pushing a little doll stroller. And because of this, your feet constantly kick the back wheels as you walk.
So I started my hunt for the BEST lightweight stroller and here is what I landed on:
About the product
- Durable, stylish aluminum frame (13 pounds) with large seat area
- 4 position recline with 5 point safety harness
- Anti-shock front wheels and lockable rear wheels
- Adjustable and removable canopy with flip out sun visor
- Extra-large storage basket and rear storage pocket
- New and improved easy compact fold with carry strap and auto lock
I didn’t really want to spend over $30 for an umbrella stroller but after reading the reviews, I was sold.
Take my money.
Now that I have used this stroller a million times, I can honestly say it was well worth it.
My absolute favorite thing about it is the long handles!! They are at a super comfortable height so we don’t have to bend down at all. This is HUGE when picking out a stroller.
I also love the big basket on the bottom because my purse is ginormous and it fits perfectly! The diaper bag fits in there too (not at the same time)!
It even has a cup holder! Not a lot of umbrella strollers have that. Definite plus.
Overall, this stroller is exactly what I was looking for! I give it my highest recommendation.
